Student of the Conference – Vote now!!!

June 14, 2011

Butho Ndhlovu – University of Venda – introduced himself to us on day one by asking a question.

Did we know what ‘Butho’ was in English?    Well for all you out there who don’t know it means ‘Warrior’.

Second question was what did ‘Ndhlovu’ mean? Elephant.

Butho, the Elephant Warrior……I loved it…..and he proved at the award ceremony that He is exactly that. A Warrior, who charmed and won the smiles of all at the conference. He spoke of his delight in winning a MacJannet Prize, of the great achievement for his University, of their delight and the challenge it represents for the future for the recipients/program. We laughed and I think secretly ‘taimid i ngrá le‘ Butho.
